I am currently going back to school at age 38, to gain my elementary ed. degree. Are there any sites, schools, etc. that you are aware of that could allow me to complete a couple of required classes.
Can anyone give me some suggestions or advice???

Your best resource for finding specific courses is the NUCEA'S (National University Continuing Education Accosiation) "Independent Study Catalog," published by Peterson's.
Kdeep in mind, however, that because elementary and secondary education requires state certification (including student teaching experience), there are few distance education opportunities in the field. (One of the few distance degree programs in this field is the Adult Degree Program at Vermont College of Norwich University, which has a Vermont certification-based curriculum.) Therefore, if you want to take *any* distance courses toward your degree, you should check on the acceptability of those courses with the specific degree program in which you are enrolled.
Without knowing which state you live in, it's more difficult. Different states do different things. For example, in CA it is not possible to get a degree in "Elementary Education". Those people so interested get one in Liberal Studies. After completion of the BA, then you need to get a teaching credential/certificate/license. In CA this is an additional year of study and student teaching.
