Question:
I'm looking for recommendations on online Instructional Technology master's programs. My preference is to find a program that offers an MS and most of their program can be taken online. I have a strong technical and design background in web development and video production so I'm looking for more education and instruction emphasis than technology. Many of the programs I've been reading about are geared toward educators who want to learn to use technology in their classrooms. If anyone can recommend any programs I should be looking at???
Answer:
This one is not educational technology, but for that reason may be what you are looking for: Masters Degree in Adult Education Penn State World Campus http://www.worldcampus.psu.edu/pub/adted/index.shtml
Here are others
I'll just throw these out for you since I am researching the same subject. These are just one's I've found searching with google. As you say it is hard to find programs that are not aimed at K-12 teachers learning about the technology rather than the educational theory as applied to adult learners.
Also these are not cheap if you are paying out-of-state tuition.
George Washington University http://www.gwu.edu/~etl/etlcourses.htm Lots of electives - you may be able to design what you want.
Virginia Tech http://www.itma.vt.edu/courses.htm Not cheap out of state. Sounds like what you are _not_ looking for.
