Basic Adult Piano Course Cd

Question:
I'm getting a nice little electric piano on Friday, it's touch sensitive and can export into a home computer, two of the features I was looking for. My only problem now, is that I know maybe one, maybe two tunes that are playable on a piano... I don't know the keys or chords, suffice to say I'm a complete newbie.

Do any of you have the names of good books to start with from nothing, or can you suggest some good sites where I can get some good books, or learn to better my skills?

Answer:
I went through 3 levels of Alfred's Basic Adult Piano Course in just over a year (had limited time to practice - that's my excuse, anyway.) Verdict: quite good, balanced between theory, exercises and good playable popular classic pieces. Some (to me) rather weird pieces by Stephen Heller (1813 - 1888) are included (I just left them out!) You get a CD also, but not in Level 3 - I used to play it on on my attached midi-PC, mix in the piano in via a cheap Radio Shack mixer and accompany it. Fun and useful!

I'm now finding the more simple classical scores and "going solo". Made good progress with the Clementi sonatas (good for beginner- intermediates), slower progress, but wonderful feelings, with Mozart, my first musical love from 45 years ago.
