Does anyone out there know of a place local to me (Loudoun County,Virginia, maybe western Fairfax County) that might offer a course inbasic shop skills, preferably one that would meet a couple of times aweek in the evenings? While I have operated a lathe and a mill beforefor some very simple tasks, I have essentially forgotten anything Imight have learned at the time; assume I am a complete newbie when itcomes to working in a machine shop.

I am in the same boat, as I live in Hawaii on one of tthe smallerIslands there is no " adult education ". However our CommunityCollegeoffers a course in Machine Shop. $150.00 I even volunteered my servicesat a local shop in exchange for some experience, but the owner justsmiled and said he didn't have enough work. Can't say I blame him.
