I was listening to an add on the radio today, and it was for University of MD's University College. What the heck is that? I thought Universities were comprised of several colleges? Or, am I just an idiot?

"The University of Maryland has several campuses. Two of them are more orless co-located; the University of Maryland at College Park, which isprimarily a day school; and the University of Maryland University College,which is aimed at adult education. They get the facilities of UMCP atnight. Their headquarters are on different spots on campus, which is a BIGplace; UMCP was on Route 1; UMUC on Adelphi and University Boulevards.
"The difference between the two was like day and night. When I attendedUMCP, it was a party school. UMUC was aimed at adult students interested ingetting an education on their own nickel. Courses there were more serious."
