Question:
Will students of this course receive the test automation programs as part ofthe materials? If not, will the software be offered at a substantialdiscount for students? I know for me, I need to have the program at home toreally learn the subject matter.
Answer:
As you may already know, Santa Clara Adult Education (as a MercuryInteractive 'academic partner') currently offers classes in thefollowing test automation tools:- Mercury Interactive's WinRunner- Mercury Interactive's Astra QuickTest & LoadTest
In the upcoming quarter the Astra class is offered with NO tuition fee(only a $25 materials fee to cover copies and supplies). It's a promodeal from Adult Ed during the first year that they offer the class.
What is Astra QuickTest & Astra LoadTest?- New generation Internet/Intranet test automation tools developed byMercury Interactive- Touted as test automation tools which are: * Effective * Easy to learn * Easy to use * Especially good for eComm and Web-deployed apps
If your staff completed a class in a web development tool (like Java),Astra may be a good next step to "round out" their skills.
If you thought learning test automation tools was too difficult, Astramight change your mind.
To make enrollment easier for students, you may:- Pre-enroll (see www.scae.org for details), or- Come to the 1st class (bring your I.D. and a check).
