Looking to buy this for use in an adult learning centre. How well does thebattery work? How much sustained work can you get out of it?Generally, how have your experiences been(with both the battery and thecomputer)?

I am the proud owner of a PowerBook 1400cs/166 which replacedmy less-than-wonderful PowerBook 190cs/66. While I can't exactly say howlong the 1400s battery lasts between charges, I can tell you it alldepends on what you are doing. For instance, if you are justreading/writing text, disk activity is minimal and your battery will lastlonger. If you are reading/writing text with a disk-intensive application,your battery life drops accordingly.
If you're going to be taking classes at the adult learning center, Irecommend that you keep your power adaptor handy and sit near a poweroutlet ...You also might want to use SimpleText for writing (you can copy-and-pasteeverything into your normal wordprocessor later).
